On February 23rd, 2013, over 1,000 volunteers braved the elements and lent helping hands at over 9 projects throughout New York and New Jersey communities!

  1. Enjoyed the clean-up experience at Traders Cove. My only comment was that a lot of effort was put in to wood removal. All wood will rot and return to nature, which is preferable to being placed in a landfill, where it is forever lost. I would recommend that efforts be channelled into non-biodegradables such as plastics and styrofoam.

  2. Thought of children’s plastic toboggans after I got home. This would have made T
    Trader’s Cove clean up easier–we could have dragged items out on sleds instead of by hand or by canoe!
